IN THE BEGINNING THERE WERE JEANS

Nina Metternich is a physiotherapist. Together with a colleague, she considered how they could develop a practical alternative to the classic fascia roller that is even more targeted and easier to use.

The idea quickly evolved into a creative process, and in the initial phase, they deliberately kept things simple and pragmatic. They used tennis balls and their daughters' old jeans. At the end of 2016, they sewed the first "gym bags," as the prototype was called. In 2018, they approached SISSEL with their idea. Together with SISSEL's product development team, they developed a marketable product: the SPINEFIT.

FROM EGG CARTON TO MENTION IN "MEN'S HEALTH"

The SPINEFITTER was conceived from the outset as a future-oriented modular system, allowing it to be equipped with further therapeutic attachments. However, not only the material but also the design was further developed. Early sketches and prototypes resembled egg cartons or a row of marshmallow treats.

But then, in 2021, a "beautifully designed" SPINEFITTER emerged, as described by "Men's Health" magazine. At the FIBO international sports trade fair, it was even named Innovation of the Year.

ORGINALLY EXTENDED - THEN EXPANDED IN MANY WAYS

Since some customers, especially taller ones, wanted a longer SPINEFITTER, the Multi Extension Kit was developed. As soon as the extension was completed, it quickly became clear: This can do so much more!

The Multi Extension Kit is ideal for integrating additional exercises or for specifically supporting individual body parts.

NOT ALL SPINEFITTERS ARE CREATED EQUAL

Children and adolescents today increasingly struggle with poor posture and the resulting health problems. This presents challenges not only for parents but also for physiotherapists.

Originally, the SPINEFITTER was intended to be "child-friendly". But it quickly became clear: children need something completely different.

While adults often focus on spinal mobilization and releasing tension, children prioritize other issues such as stable core strength along the spine, improved coordination, and good balance.

This is precisely where the SPINEFITTER Junior comes in!

PINK HERO - EFFECTIVE SUPPORT FOR BREAST CANCER PATIENTS

The newest member of the SPINEFITTER family is the SPINEFITTER Pink Hero Edition. This special edition was created in response to reports of very positive experiences with the SPINEFITTER from breast cancer patients. It supports the restoration of shoulder mobility, stretches the anterior chain of the body, stimulates lymphatic drainage (essential for the healing process), and can have a positive effect on pain relief.

Recently treated breast cancer patients often react more sensitively to touch and pressure. To make application easier, the SPINEFITTER Sleeve is made of terry cloth to reduce the feeling of pressure.
